The Kodiak 4-H program offers a variety of shooting programs. In the fall we start our year with smallbore rifle. These classes are held at the KISA indoor rifle range at Monaska Bay. When smallbore rifle is over we put on a class for pistol shooting. These classes our also held at the KISA indoor range. In the spring we put on classes in shotgun at the Katmai trap club. This range is also located in Monaska Bay. When summer comes we move to the Salonie Creek Rifle range and hold classes in Highpower Rifle. |

| All of our classes our taught by certified instructors, many of them certified NRA instructors as well as 4-H instructors. All of our classes are taught at established shooting ranges with working equipment. Kodiak has excellent shooting facilities ranging from a trap club with an ATA certified range to a 500 yard rifle range with working target carriers. |

We also have firearms that the participants can use, as well as other equipment such as shooting jackets and spotting scopes. Proceeds from Friends of the NRA banquets were very helpful in purchasing this equipment. The Kodiak Island Sportsmen Association is also very generous in letting us use their equipment and ranges. |
