Welcome to Kodiak 4-H. 4-H has been a part of Kodiak for many years and is still going strong. The goal of 4-H is a simple one - we want to turn our kids into responsible adults: and have fun doing it.

Island Wide Shooting Program

The Kodiak 4-H club is trying to put on an Island wide shooting program.

We want to get 4 match quality air rifles for each village. These cost around $400 each. We also need to get pellet traps, pellets, targets, eye protection, etc. for each village.

We would like to see a basic rifle course at the beginning of each year with a 10 week postal match between the different villages later in the year.

The cost will be around $2,000 per village. We will be approaching different organizations for financial support.

We also need to train instructors for this program. We would like to see 2 instructors for each village.

What we need to do now is see who is interested. If you are interested in beinging an instructor, a particiapnt, or a supporter would you please send an e-mail to kshort@alaska.com. Please list your name, address, phone # and e-mail. Also what role you would like to take.

For more information on 4-H and how you can participate please send an e-mail to

Also feel free to contact any of the people listed on the contacts page.
